EXPO 2025 – Shoji Kawamori Presents “LIVE EARTH JOURNEY”Yuki Kaji, Nao Toyama, and Hiroki Nanami Embark on a Deep Vision Adventure!

On the press day of April 9, 2025, the pavilion for “LIVE EARTH JOURNEY” produced by Shoji Kawamori hosted a special experience and talk session, welcoming an all-star lineup of voice actors and artists.
Deep Vision & ANIMA! Experience Session
In Part 1, voice actors Yuki Kaji, Nao Toyama, and Hiroki Nanami joined producer Shoji Kawamori to experience Deep Vision and ANIMA!.
In Part 2, artists Megumi Nakajima and Hane, along with music producer Yoko Kanno, also took part in the immersive journey alongside Kawamori.

Talk session
In front of The Window of the Universe, one of the outdoor features of LIVE EARTH JOURNEY, we asked the guests to share their thoughts on the experience.

Regarding Deep Vision “499seconds My Gattai”, Yuki Kaji shared:
“The sense of immersion was incredible—it truly felt like I had stepped into the world of a game or anime. The message that Director Kawamori has always tried to convey through anime was fully captured here, and I felt like the things that couldn’t be expressed in traditional animation have finally come to life through today’s digital technology.”
Nao Toyama commented:
“It was a completely new kind of experience, jumping back and forth between VR and AR. No matter how much I talk about it, I still wouldn’t be spoiling anything!”
Hiroki Nanami added:
“The part where we all created water orbs together through AR felt like a shared fusion experience. The music was absolutely amazing. I truly believe entertainment is something that connects the world, and it also reflects the cycle of life—so I hope everyone comes to feel that ‘life’ for themselves.”
Regarding her narration for ANIMA!, Toyama also shared:
“I approached the narration with the image of awakening the inner child in everyone, something that could bring us all together with excitement and a shared sense of wonder.”

In Part 2, music producer Yoko Kanno, along with vocal artists Megumi Nakajima and HAOTO, who performed the theme song for Deep Vision “499seconds My Gattai”, took the stage.
It was the first time for both vocalists—who elevated the project’s emotional impact through music—to personally experience the Deep Vision journey themselves.
Megumi Nakajima shared:
“It was a moment packed with the sensation of being truly alive. It reminded me how important it is to sing while connecting with something primal.”
HAOTO commented:
“I was so immersed, I almost couldn’t believe it was my own voice. I looked around—360 degrees, from the floor to the ceiling—and once just wasn’t enough. I want to see it again and again!”

Yoko Kanno shared her thoughts, saying:
“Nakajima’s voice has this delicate, downy texture—like fine baby hair—that really catches and resonates with you. As for HAOTO, I chose her because I felt she had the kind of sacred voice that could sing like a shrine maiden.”
Maaya Sakamoto, who served as the narrator for Deep Vision, also took part in the experience!
During a recent test run, Maaya Sakamoto, who provided both the Japanese and English narration for Deep Vision “499seconds My Gattai”, experienced the pavilion exhibition firsthand.
