Shoji Kawamori Creative Exhibition – Expo, Combination, Transformation, and the Future –
Long-Term Exhibition Confirmed at the EXPO’70 Pavilion in Expo ’70 Commemorative Park!

September 6, 2025 (Sat) – March 1, 2026 (Sun)
Exploring the two World Expos that profoundly shaped Kawamori’s creative journey,
from his earliest concepts to his latest works—all unveiled together for the first time.

Vector Vision Inc. is proud to announce that, in collaboration with Expo ’70 Commemorative Park Management Partners, we will co-host a special exhibition dedicated to the works of our creator Shoji Kawamori—renowned for masterpieces such as Macross and Aquarion—at the EXPO’70 Pavilion in Expo ’70 Commemorative Park.

This large-scale exhibition traces Kawamori’s creative trajectory, who also serves as a Thematic Project Producer for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. Visitors will encounter rare three-dimensional displays and original design materials spanning from his early settings to his latest projects. Highlights include dioramas and immersive visuals recreating the inspiration 10-year-old Kawamori experienced at Expo ’70 in Osaka, and how that spark of imagination has evolved into a creative chain leading to Expo 2025.

The exhibition will also feature a special presentation of the Signature Pavilion “The Adventure of Life”, produced by Kawamori for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai—shown here in a unique format available nowhere else. In the “Pick-Up Projects” section, visitors will discover works embodying his hallmark themes of “combination” and “transformation.” Experience the ever-evolving world of Shoji Kawamori as it unfolds toward the future.
Special events and talk sessions will also be held exclusively during the exhibition period.

A “creative adventure” that transcends generations and genres begins here.
