Details Announced!“Life is Connected! Myaku-Myaku Creature Quest” event will be held on May 26th on Awaji Island

On May 26 (Sun.), a joint project for the 2025 Japan International Exposition (Expo 2025 Osaka kansai Japan), “Life is Connected! Myaku-Myaku Creature Quest” will be held at Nijigen-no-mori in Awaji Island, Awaji Island! A citizen participation event will be held at Nijigen-no-mori in Awaji Island on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

“Life is Connected! Myaku-Myaku Creature Quest” is the collective name for “Forest Ikimono Quest by Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan,” “Greenland Ikimono Quest by TOPPAN Holdings,” and “Ocean Ikimono Quest by Kurazushi,” an ecosystem survey in which anyone with a smartphone can participate free of charge. Prior to the Ikimono Quest event, a talk event was held at 10:00 a.m. to announce the press release.
In addition to a biodiversity talk by producer Shoji Kawamori and Shogoro Fujiki, President of Biome Inc. on “The Importance of Biodiversity to be Communicated at the Expo,” Quest owners Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan, TOPPAN Holdings, and Kura Sushi Co. Ltd. will also participate in a panel discussion on “What we want to convey through the Expo and how people should relate to nature in the future.

After the press conference, participants will observe living creatures and plants in a field on Awaji Island.
Utilizing the free “Biome” application, participants will take pictures of the creatures with their own smartphones and upload them to the application. This is a citizen-participatory event where awards and prizes will be given according to the number and rarity of the contributions.

Myakumyaku, the official character of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, will also make an appearance at the event!
